A speeding lorry overturned on Wednesday, September 3, after crashing into a culvert on the Narketpally–Addanki highway in Telangana’s Nalgonda district. The incident, which occurred at around 6:57 am, was captured on CCTV installed at a nearby shop, and the dramatic footage quickly went viral online.

The video shows the lorry hitting the culvert before overturning, causing a passenger seated next to the driver to be thrown through the windshield. The driver managed to escape from the broken windshield with only minor injuries, while the passenger sustained critical injuries and is currently undergoing treatment at a hospital. No casualties have been reported so far.

This is not the first time such a close call has occurred. In July 2025, a similar accident took place in Jharkhand’s Giridih, where a truck loaded with pipes fell 40 feet into the Barakar River. The driver, Aqeel Nawaz Khana, narrowly escaped and survived, highlighting the dangers of overspeeding and the importance of safety precautions for heavy vehicles.
