Bhojpuri actor Pawan Singh issued an apology to co-star Anjali Raghav following a viral video in which he was allegedly seen touching her inappropriately at an event in Lucknow. After the video circulated on social media, Anjali announced that she had decided to quit the Bhojpuri industry due to the incident.

On his Instagram story, Singh wrote, “Anjali ji, vyasth schedule ke kaaran main aapka live dekh nahi paaya. Mujhe jab iss baat ki jaankari huyi, toh mujhe bura laga. Mera aapke prati koi bhi galat intention nahi tha kyuki humlog kalakaar hai. Iske bawajood, agar aapko humari kisi bhi vyawahaar se takleef hui ho toh uske liye main shama prarthi hoon.” (Translation: “Anjali ji, I could not see you live due to a busy schedule. When I came to know about it, I felt bad. I had no wrong intention towards you because we are artists. Despite this, if you have been hurt by any of my behavior, I am sorry for that.”)

Anjali Raghav responded on Instagram, stating, “Pawan Singh ji ne apni galti ki manfi mangli hai. Wo mujhse bade hai aur senior artist hai… maine unhe maaf kar diya hai… mai is bat ko aur aage nahi badhana chahti. Jai Shree Ram.” (Translation: “Pawan Singh has accepted his mistake. He is elder to me and a senior artist… I have forgiven him and do not want to take this matter further. Jai Shree Ram.”)

Anjali had earlier shared details of the incident, revealing that during the event, Singh initially touched her, which she assumed was accidental due to a tag on her blouse. However, when he touched her again, she laughed it off. After confirming with her team that there was no tag, she felt hurt, angry, and emotional, but was hesitant to react because of Singh’s fanbase. Reflecting on the experience, Anjali stated that it taught her a lesson, and she decided to leave the Bhojpuri industry.
