Stalin Joins Rahul Gandhi’s Voter Adhikar Yatra in Bihar; BJP’s Malviya Slams Tejashwi Yadav

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister and DMK President M.K. Stalin joined Congress leader Rahul Gandhi’s Voter Adhikar Yatra in Muzaffarpur, Bihar, on Wednesday, sparking a political storm. Stalin, accompanied by his sister and DMK MP Kanimozhi, shared the stage with Rahul Gandhi, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav, and CPI (ML) general secretary Dipankar Bhattacharya.

Stalin posted on X, “Touchdown Bihar… the land of respected Lalu Prasad Ji greets me with fire in its eyes, the soil heavy with every stolen vote. Joined by my brothers Rahul Gandhi, Tejashwi Yadav and sister Priyanka Gandhi Vadra as the ‘Voter Adhikar Yatra’ turns people’s pain into unstoppable strength.”

Addressing the rally, Stalin accused the BJP of “subverting democracy” and claimed that the BJP-led NDA will be defeated in the upcoming Bihar Assembly elections. He alleged that the deletion of 65 lakh names from the electoral rolls during the special intensive revision was “worse than terrorism” and accused the Election Commission of acting like a “remote-controlled puppet.” Stalin pledged to return to Bihar to witness the INDIA bloc government’s swearing-in if they win the polls.

The DMK leader also recalled the long-standing friendship between his father, late M. Karunanidhi, and RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav. He praised Tejashwi Yadav for “tirelessly championing social justice and never bowing down to BJP.”

Rahul Gandhi, who entered Muzaffarpur on a motorcycle with Tejashwi Yadav, accused BJP of “vote chori” and claimed the Gujarat model was based on vote theft. He alleged BJP “stole votes in 70-80 constituencies in the last Lok Sabha polls with EC’s help” and questioned why 65 lakh names were removed from the Bihar voter list. Rahul further accused PM Narendra Modi of stopping India’s action against terror camps in Pakistan at the behest of then-U.S. President Donald Trump.

Priyanka Gandhi Vadra was also seen riding pillion on Rahul’s bike during the yatra, which began on August 17 from Sasaram and aims to cover 1,300 km across Bihar.

Reacting strongly to Stalin’s presence, BJP IT cell chief Amit Malviya said, “Today, another guest who insulted Bihar and Sanatan Dharma during the Bharat Jodo Yatra has been invited. Stalin has repeatedly shown animosity toward Bihar. But Tejashwi Yadav is rolling out the red carpet for him. Bihar is asking – until when will it endure such insults?”
