Hyderabad: Three Men Arrested for Harassing Women Using Peacock Feather

Hyderabad: Three young men were arrested in Hyderabad for allegedly harassing women riders on motorcycles in the Jubilee Hills area using a peacock feather. The arrests followed after a witness, Aniketh Shetty, confronted the harassers, recorded their actions, and shared the video online, prompting rapid police action.

Shetty, who was driving his car at the time, noticed the three men following women and touching them inappropriately with a peacock feather. He immediately confronted the perpetrators, demanding that they stop. In the video shared on social media, Shetty can be seen shouting at the youth and questioning their actions.

He wrote, “These 3 pieces of shit were following the girls in front of them and touching them with the peacock feather till I pulled down the window & yelled at them.” He added that the incident left him shaken and that he might have taken further action if his wife had not been with him.

Shetty’s wife recorded the incident, capturing the motorcycle’s license plate number to provide to the police. The video quickly went viral, drawing widespread public outrage.

Hours later, Madhapur Police Station confirmed that all three suspects had been identified and arrested. A suo moto case was registered, and the investigation is ongoing, according to authorities.
