Vijay Deverakonda’s much-awaited spy action drama Kingdom, which hit theatres earlier this year on July 31, 2025, is now set for its digital premiere. The film will start streaming on Netflix from August 27, 2025, in Telugu. Produced by Sithara Entertainments, Kingdom received mixed reviews from critics and audiences during its theatrical run but has generated buzz for its intense storyline and high-octane action sequences.

Sithara Entertainments announced the OTT release by sharing the film’s poster on X with the caption: “In the kingdom of gold, blood and fire… a new king rises from the ashes 👑🔥 Watch #Kingdom on Netflix, in Telugu.”

The film’s plot revolves around Surya (Suri), a police constable played by Vijay Deverakonda, who goes undercover in Sri Lanka to search for his estranged brother, Siva (played by Satyadev). However, Surya discovers that Siva has become a major figure in the island’s organized crime syndicate. This revelation forces the two brothers into a conflict where Surya must choose between his duty as a law enforcer and his loyalty to family. The story is layered with themes of family, addiction, and the gritty lifestyle of mixed martial arts fighters, set against a backdrop of a tumultuous historical event involving British colonial forces and a marginalized tribal community, with fascinating elements of reincarnation and ancestral wisdom.

The ensemble cast includes Bhagyashri Borse as Dr. Madhu, Venkitesh V. P. as Murugan, Ayyappa P. Sharma as Bhairaghi, Muralidhar Goud as Police SI, and supporting roles by Mahesh Achanta, Rajkumar Kasireddy, Kancharapalem Kishore, and Rohini as the mother of the two brothers.

The film’s music is composed by Anirudh Ravichandran, known for his innovative fusion of traditional Indian sounds with modern global genres like EDM, hip-hop, and pop. Anirudh, one of India’s most celebrated music directors, has worked across Tamil, Telugu, and Hindi cinema, creating both electrifying tracks and soulful melodies that resonate with audiences.
