Bollywood actress Parineeti Chopra and her husband, politician Raghav Chadha, have announced that they are expecting their first child, nearly two years after their wedding. The couple shared the happy news with fans on their social media handles on Monday, August 25.

The announcement featured an adorable photo of a round cake with the message “1 + 1 = 3” along with two tiny golden footprints. Another image showed the couple walking hand-in-hand in a park. They captioned the post, “Our little universe… on its way. Blessed beyond measure.”

Just days earlier, Parineeti and Raghav appeared on The Great Indian Kapil Show, where Raghav hinted at good news coming soon. When Kapil Sharma spoke about family expectations after marriage, Raghav playfully responded, “Denge, aapko denge… good news jaldi denge,” leaving Parineeti surprised.

The actress revealed that she first met Raghav at a conference in London. Initially unaware of who he was, she casually suggested meeting up in Delhi. Raghav invited her for breakfast the next day, and though they both arrived with groups, the meeting sparked their connection. That day, Raghav took her number, and their conversations began.

The couple got engaged in May 2023 at Kapurthala House, New Delhi, and tied the knot on September 24, 2023, in Udaipur, Rajasthan, in the presence of close friends and family.
