Palghar’s Boisar CIDCO Bypass Sees Six Bike Accidents in One Hour

Boisar in Palghar, near Mumbai, has witnessed a troubling series of two-wheeler accidents on the CIDCO Bypass Road, with six separate incidents reported within a single hour. CCTV footage from the area has captured the sequence of mishaps, highlighting recurring safety issues for bikers on this newly constructed stretch.

According to ABP Majha, around 12 to 13 riders sustained minor injuries, though no major casualties were reported. The footage shows bikes skidding and slipping repeatedly, raising serious concerns over the road’s safety. Locals allege that poor road quality is the main reason behind these accidents, pointing out the presence of mud on the newly laid concrete surface as a key factor causing repeated skidding.

On Saturday alone, six accidents occurred within an hour, all recorded on CCTV cameras. Residents of Boisar have expressed anger over the incidents and are demanding immediate action. They have urged authorities to remove the accumulated mud and hold officials accountable for the road’s maintenance.

While the recent accidents caused only minor injuries, the frequency and similarity of these crashes suggest that the situation could worsen if not addressed promptly. The spate of accidents on the CIDCO Bypass Road has raised urgent questions about the safety of the route, prompting locals to call for swift intervention to prevent future mishaps.
