After almost 18 years, Bollywood fans are in for a treat as Akshay Kumar and Saif Ali Khan reunite for Priyadarshan’s upcoming thriller Haiwaan. The iconic duo, who delivered hits like Main Khiladi Tu Anari, Yeh Dillagi, and Tashan, is all set to recreate their magic on screen.

The shoot for Haiwaan officially began on Saturday, August 23, in Kochi, Kerala. To mark the occasion, Akshay Kumar shared a behind-the-scenes video on Instagram, wearing a T-shirt with the word “Saint” printed on it. In the clip, he teased Saif by saying, “I know this devil very well,” giving fans a glimpse of their playful chemistry.

Akshay captioned the post, “Hum sab hi hain thode se shaitaan… Koi upar se Saint, koi andar se ‘Haiwaan’ :)) Starting the shoot for #Haiwaan today with my absolute favourite captain of the ship, @priyadarshan.official Sir. Great to be working with Saif after nearly 18 years. Let’s get the haiwaniyat rolling!!”

The last time Akshay and Saif shared screen space was in Vijay Krishna Acharya’s Tashan (2008), which also starred Kareena Kapoor Khan.

Apart from Haiwaan, Akshay Kumar will also appear in Priyadarshan’s upcoming film Bhooth Bangla, produced by Shobha Kapoor and Ektaa Kapoor under Balaji Telefilms, in collaboration with Akshay’s Cape of Good Films. Bhooth Bangla is set to hit theaters on April 2, 2026.
