An Air India flight bound for Jodhpur on Friday was forced to abort its take-off after encountering an operational issue, returning safely to the bay. Flight AI645, operating from Mumbai to Jodhpur, experienced the problem during the take-off run. According to an Air India spokesperson, the cockpit crew followed standard operating procedures, discontinued the take-off, and brought the aircraft back safely. Alternative arrangements were promptly made to ensure passengers reached their destination.
This incident follows a similar case earlier in August when passengers on an Air India flight from Kochi to New Delhi faced delays after a technical snag was detected during the take-off roll. Flight AI504 was brought back to the bay for safety checks, again following standard procedures.
Earlier this month, the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) issued a cautionary letter to Air India Ltd., warning the airline over violations of flight time regulations and urging strict adherence to aviation safety protocols.
