Private Helicopter Makes Emergency Landing Near Pune Due to Dense Fog

A private helicopter carrying six people, including two pilots, was forced to make an emergency landing near a village in Maharashtra’s Pune district due to poor visibility caused by dense fog, officials said on Tuesday.

The incident occurred on August 15 when the helicopter, owned by a city-based builder, was en route to Mumbai. Around 3 pm, the pilots made the precautionary landing on a roadside near Saltar village in Mulshi tehsil after encountering heavy fog, an official from Pune rural police confirmed.

“As per reports from local residents and the village Police Patil, the chopper had two pilots and four passengers on board. It landed safely due to fog and took off again within 15 minutes,” the official stated.

No injuries were reported in the incident.
