Bomb Threats Trigger Evacuations at Multiple Delhi Schools; Police Launch Search Operations

Several schools in Delhi faced bomb threats on Monday morning, leading to mass evacuations and extensive security checks. According to officials, Delhi Public School (DPS) Dwarka, Modern Convent School, and ShreeRam World School in Sector 10, Dwarka received threatening emails.

Authorities acted swiftly, evacuating the premises and deploying Delhi Police along with bomb disposal squads to ensure safety. A detailed search operation was carried out at each location.

While previous threats in the past turned out to be hoaxes, security agencies treated the latest warnings with utmost seriousness, following all standard protocols.

Moupali Mitra, Principal of Richmondd Global School, revealed that her school also received a bomb threat email earlier in July. “We informed the Commissioner of Police within minutes of receiving the email. The bomb squad and cyber teams arrived promptly and inspected every corner of the school before declaring it safe. We are ensuring complete security for the students,” she stated.

Similar incidents were reported last month when multiple institutions, including IP College for Women, Hindu College, and Shri Ram College of Commerce (SRCC) at Delhi University, received bomb threats through email.

Authorities have urged citizens not to panic and to report any suspicious activity immediately. Further updates on the latest incident are awaited.
