Ayushmann Khurrana and Rashmika Mandanna Embrace Gothic Look in First Poster of Thama

Maddock Films has unveiled the first look of its highly anticipated horror-comedy Thama, featuring Ayushmann Khurrana, Rashmika Mandanna, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, and Paresh Rawal in pivotal roles.

Directed by Aditya Sarpotdar, Thama promises a unique blend of vampire folklore and Indian mythology, creating a cinematic experience that transcends genres. Ayushmann Khurrana steps into the role of Alok, a historian unraveling the mythological roots of vampirism, introduced as “Insaaniyat ki aakhri umeed.” Rashmika Mandanna transforms into Tadaka, described as “Roshni ki ek hi paheli kiran,” while Nawazuddin Siddiqui plays Yakshasan, the menacing “Andhere ka Badshah,” a vampire king with a mysterious past. Paresh Rawal adds humor and drama as Mr. Ram Bajaj Goyal, a man who turns tragedy into comedy.

Drawing inspiration from the immortal warrior Ashwatthama of the Mahabharata, the film interweaves two timelines—modern-day India and the grandeur of ancient Vijayanagar—connected through a haunting love story. Thama is scheduled for a worldwide release this Diwali. Adding to the excitement, the teaser titled The World of Thama will premiere on August 19 at 11:11 AM.
