In a shocking incident early Sunday morning, YouTuber and Bigg Boss OTT 2 winner Elvish Yadav’s home in Gurugram was riddled with bullets in an apparent targeted attack. At approximately 5:30 AM, three masked gunmen opened fire on Yadav’s 16-bedroom mansion located in Sector 56 while his family members were asleep inside. Elvish’s father confirmed that nearly 25 to 30 rounds were fired, leaving bullet holes in the doors and walls, with at least one bullet shattering a glass pane of the recently constructed property.
Hours after the incident, a notorious group calling itself the “Bhau Gang” claimed responsibility for the attack. A viral Instagram post from a user named Bhau Ritolia stated that the shooting was carried out by gang members Neeraj Faridpur and Bhau Ritolia themselves. The statement accused Elvish Yadav of promoting illegal betting applications and “destroying families” through such endorsements. The gang further issued a chilling threat to others on social media, warning that anyone found promoting similar apps could face similar consequences — either “a phone call or a bullet”.
This isn’t the first time the Bhau Gang has been linked to such violence. Last month, the same group claimed involvement in a shooting targeting singer Rahul Fazilpuria, a close associate of Elvish. In that incident, unidentified assailants opened fire at Fazilpuria’s car and fled the scene.
Authorities are investigating the incident, while the online threats and admissions from the gang are drawing serious concern regarding influencer safety and the growing links between social media personalities and illegal digital activities.
