Massive Fire Breaks Out at Parsik Cafe in Thane’s Kalwa, 35 Evacuated Safely

 

A massive fire broke out early Thursday morning at Parsik Cafe, located on the ground floor of a six-story residential building in Kharegaon, Kalwa (West), Thane, prompting the evacuation of 35 residents. Officials confirmed that no casualties have been reported.

According to Thane Municipal Corporation’s disaster management chief, Yasin Tadvi, the blaze started around 4:58 am in the 1,000 sq ft café situated within the Chandrabhaga Park complex in Parsik Nagar. The café owner immediately alerted the disaster management cell.

Fire officials reported that another section of the building was occupied when the fire erupted. “For safety reasons, all residents of Chandrabhaga Park B Wing were safely evacuated with the help of fire department and disaster management teams,” Tadvi said.

The fire caused extensive damage inside the café, destroying tables, chairs, refrigerators, cabinets, and kitchen equipment. Firefighters were promptly deployed and managed to bring the blaze under control by 6:25 am, preventing it from spreading further.

Authorities are investigating the cause of the fire.
