In a disturbing and bizarre case from Telangana, a woman murdered her husband by pouring pesticide into his ear — a method she reportedly learned from YouTube. The woman, identified as Ramadevi, executed the crime with the help of her lover, 50-year-old Karan Rajayya, and his friend, Srinivas. The deceased, Sampath, worked as a cleaner in a library and was known to have a drinking problem, often leading to violent quarrels with his wife.
Ramadevi, who ran a small snack shop to support their two children, met Rajayya during work. Their relationship soon turned illicit. Determined to eliminate her husband, Ramadevi searched online and came across a chilling method to kill someone by administering poison through the ear. She shared the idea with Rajayya, and the duo planned Sampath’s murder.
According to police, Rajayya and his friend intoxicated Sampath heavily. Once he passed out, Rajayya poured pesticide into his ear as per the plan, leading to Sampath’s immediate death. In an attempt to cover up the crime, Ramadevi filed a missing person’s report the next day. However, on August 1, Sampath’s body was discovered, and suspicions grew, especially after the accused tried to prevent a postmortem.
Sampath’s son insisted on an investigation, prompting the police to dig deeper. Analysis of phone records, CCTV footage, and location data led investigators to Ramadevi, Rajayya, and Srinivas. Under interrogation, all three confessed to the crime. They have since been arrested and placed in judicial custody.
This spine-chilling case highlights the alarming misuse of online platforms and how desperation, fueled by domestic discord and infidelity, led to a calculated murder.
