Two individuals lost their lives and three others suffered serious injuries due to a significant explosion at an oxygen cylinder facility in Mohali district, Punjab, on Wednesday morning.

The blast occurred at a site situated in the Industrial Area, Phase-9, creating shockwaves throughout the neighborhood. In the aftermath of the incident, high-ranking officials from both the police and civil administration, including the sub-divisional magistrate, hurried to the location to evaluate the circumstances and manage rescue operations.

The injured individuals have been transported to the Civil Hospital in Mohali for medical care. Officials reported that all three are in critical condition, and their health is being closely monitored.

The reason behind the explosion has not yet been established, and an investigation is currently in progress.
