Former Jharkhand Chief Minister and Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) chief patron, Shibu Soren, is in critical condition and currently on ventilator support, sources reported on Saturday. The 81-year-old leader has been undergoing treatment at Delhi’s Sri Ganga Ram Hospital for over a month after being admitted in the last week of June due to a kidney-related ailment.
Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren had earlier stated on June 24 that his father was under medical observation and receiving regular treatment at the hospital. Shibu Soren, a key political figure in Jharkhand, has led the JMM for 38 years and is widely regarded as the party’s founding patron.
In a separate development, Jharkhand Education Minister Ramdas Soren was airlifted to Apollo Hospital in Delhi after suffering a brain stroke. Sources confirmed that he is expected to arrive at the hospital shortly for emergency medical care.
