Vicky Kaushal marks a decade of Masaan: There is so much to learn and grow

A decade after ‘Masaan’ subtly transformed the language of Indian indie cinema, Vicky Kaushal commemorated the film’s 10th anniversary with a heartfelt tribute filled with gratitude and nostalgia.

Posting a collection of behind-the-scenes moments on Instagram – featuring candid images with co-star Shweta Tripathi, director Neeraj Ghaywan, and other crew members – Vicky contemplated his journey since his debut.

“It’s been ten years! So much to learn, so much to grow. Thank you for everything. Musafir hain hum bhi, musafir ho tum bhi. Kisi mod par phir mulaakat hogi,” he expressed, quoting lines that resonated with the essence of the film.

Released in 2015, ‘Masaan’ was not merely a launchpad for Vicky – it represented a quiet revolution in narrative style. Premiering at the Cannes Film Festival and securing two esteemed awards, the film established a new realm for grounded, impactful storytelling in Hindi cinema.

In the meantime, Shweta Tripathi also posted a charming reel to celebrate the occasion. ‘Masaan’ unfolds its narrative in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh, weaving together two distinct stories that ultimately intersect. Alongside Vicky Kaushal, the film features an ensemble cast that includes Richa Chadha, Shweta Tripathi, Sanjay Mishra, and Pankaj Tripathi.

Looking ahead, Vicky Kaushal was recently seen in ‘Chhaava’, a blockbuster hit of 2025. He is currently preparing for Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ‘Love and War’, which stars Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt.
