Shivraj Singh Chouhan Leaves Wife Behind in Gujarat, Returns With Convoy After Realising

In a rather unexpected and light-hearted moment during his Gujarat visit, Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan accidentally left his wife, Sadhana Singh, behind at a government event in Junagadh, before quickly making a U-turn with his 22-car convoy upon realizing the mistake.

The incident occurred during Chouhan’s religious and official visit to Gujarat on Saturday. He began the day by visiting the Somnath Jyotirlinga temple and later went on to tour the Gir National Park. His itinerary also included a visit to the Peanut Research Center in Junagadh, where he reviewed ongoing agricultural research and interacted with beneficiaries of the Lakhpati Didi scheme.

During the research centre visit, Sadhana Singh, who had returned after visiting Girnar, was seated in the waiting room, while Chouhan continued with his engagements. As he was scheduled to take a flight from Rajkot later in the evening, he seemed in a hurry, frequently checking his watch and even commenting humorously on stage, “The road to Rajkot is bad, next time I will come leisurely.”

He cut short his speech and quickly departed for Rajkot—unaware that Sadhana was not in the convoy. After traveling for about 10 minutes, the minister realized his wife was missing, called her, and returned to Junagadh with his full convoy to pick her up. The couple then resumed the journey to Rajkot together.

The amusing incident quickly caught the attention of social media users and added a lighter note to the otherwise busy political schedule. The mix-up was reported by NDTV MP and other media outlets, sparking humorous commentary online.
