Patna hospital murder case: The primary suspect is 1of 4 individuals arrested in Kolkata

Kolkata: On Sunday, the Patna Police announced the arrest of four individuals out of ten who were detained from two separate locations in Kolkata in connection with the recent murder of gangster Chandan Mishra at a Patna hospital.

The four individuals arrested on Sunday by the Patna Police include one of the main suspects, Tauseef a.k.a. Badshah, along with his associate Nishu Khan and two others.

On Saturday, ten individuals were detained from two different areas in Kolkata, specifically New Town in the northern outskirts and Anandapur in the southern outskirts, following coordinated operations by the Patna Police and the Special Task Force (STF) of the Kolkata Police.

The detained individuals were transported to Patna on Saturday night.

Sources from the Kolkata Police indicated that the murder of Chandan Kumar, also known as Chandan Mishra, stemmed from his rivalry with another gangster from Bihar, Sheroo, who is currently incarcerated in a correctional facility in Purulia district, West Bengal.

It is believed that Sheroo orchestrated the murder from prison and enlisted Tauseef alias Badshah and his crew as contract killers.

According to information gathered by investigators thus far, the ten individuals detained in Kolkata were directly implicated in the murder of Chandan Kumar, a convicted murderer who was out on medical parole.

Mishra was shot and killed by five armed assailants inside the ICU of a private hospital in Patna on July 17.

He was serving time at Beur Jail in Patna and had been granted parole for medical treatment. There were at least 24 cases pending against him in various police stations across Buxar district in Bihar, and he was serving a sentence for one of those cases. The police reported that Mishra was killed just one day before he was due to be discharged from the hospital.
