Bollywood star Akshay Kumar recently found himself in a tense situation on the streets of London when a fan began recording him without his consent. The actor looked visibly disturbed and confronted the individual, even trying to grab the phone from the fan’s hand.
Akshay halts a fan from filming him in London
A video of the incident has emerged on social media. In the footage, Akshay is seen casually dressed in a printed grey tank top, matching shorts, and a beanie, taking a solitary walk through London. The fan, seemingly recognizing the actor, started filming him closely and without permission. This intrusion prompted a strong reaction from Akshay, who turned towards the fan, appeared upset, and attempted to take the phone away.
Despite the brief altercation, the situation quickly calmed down. Towards the end of the video, Akshay is seen accommodating the same fan with a selfie.
Public reaction
Social media users shared their thoughts on the issue of celebrities being filmed without their consent. One user commented, “When will people learn to respect others’ privacy and not film them without permission? It’s disgraceful. A simple request for a selfie would suffice.”
Another frustrated fan remarked, “Can we not treat them like normal people sometimes???” A different user added, “Not everything should be made into content.”
One social media participant questioned, “Why do you take someone’s photo in public without asking? They deserve their privacy.”
A fifth user stated, “Not every moment needs to be recorded. Respect his personal space.”
