Ravi Dubey posted a picture taken on the set of ‘Ramayana’

Actor Ravi Dubey has shared a memorable moment from the filming of the highly awaited movie ‘Ramayana’. The image showcases his on-screen brother Ranbir Kapoor, who portrays Lord Ram, alongside director Nitesh Tiwari. Dubey is set to take on the role of Lakshman in this grand production, which is expected to premiere on Diwali 2026.

The photograph, likely captured during a shooting day, features Tiwari at the center, with Dubey on his right and Ranbir on his left. All three are seen in good spirits, beaming in what Dubey referred to as a “picture of a lifetime.”

In sharing the image, Dubey commented, “Ram embodies patience, possesses remarkable virtues, and is the conqueror of the universe. I am honored to be in the presence of legends @niteshtiwari22 sir and #ranbirkapoor bhai (sic).”

In a previous interview with Connect Cine, Ravi Dubey expressed his enthusiasm about working on the ‘Ramayana’ set, especially alongside Ranbir Kapoor.

“I am portraying Lakshman in the film. I have finally received the go-ahead from the producers to disclose this. I refrained from discussing it earlier because I wanted to avoid making careless statements that could disrupt Namit (Malhotra) and Nitesh Sir’s plans for announcing the cast,” Dubey stated.

‘Ramayana’ is adapted from Sage Valmiki’s epic of the same name. The film features Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Ram, Sai Pallavi as Goddess Sita, Yash as the demon king Raavana, and Sunny Deol as Lord Hanuman.

The impressive cast also includes Vivek Oberoi, Rakul Preet Singh, Lara Dutta, Kajal Aggarwal, Kunal Kapoor, Arun Govil, Sheeba Chadha, and Indira Krishnan in significant roles.

The first look of the film was revealed on July 3. The initial chapter, titled ‘Ramayana: Part 1’, is set to be released on Diwali 2026.
