Actor Aasif Khan, known for his roles in ‘Pataal Lok’ and ‘Panchayat’, experienced a heart attack two days ago and was subsequently admitted to Kokilaben Hospital in Mumbai. Sources indicate that he is now recovering well and is anticipated to be discharged in a few days.

Aasif posted a photo from his hospital stay on his Instagram stories, accompanied by a touching message: “After observing this for the last 36 hours, I’ve come to realize that life is fleeting. Don’t take a single day for granted; everything can shift in an instant. Be thankful for what you have and who you are. Always remember those who matter most to you and cherish them. Life is a precious gift, and we are fortunate (sic).”

In an exclusive statement to India Today, the ‘Panchayat’ actor remarked, “In recent hours, I’ve faced some health challenges that necessitated hospitalization. I’m thankful to report that I’m on the mend and feeling significantly better. I genuinely appreciate all the love, concern, and well-wishes. Your support is invaluable to me. I’ll return shortly. In the meantime, thank you for keeping me in your thoughts.”

Aasif portrayed Ganesh in The Viral Fever’s ‘Panchayat’, available on Prime Video. This satirical comedy series also starred Jitendra Kumar, Raghubir Yadav, Neena Gupta, Chandan Roy, Faisal Malik, and Sanvikaa, along with key roles played by Durgesh Kumar, Ashok Pathak, Sunita Rajwar, and Pankaj Jha.

He also played the character of Kabir M, one of the suspects in ‘Paatal Lok Season 1’. This crime-thriller series featured a talented ensemble cast, including Jaideep Ahlawat, Gul Panag, Neeraj Kabi, Swastika Mukherjee, Ishwak Singh, Abhishek Banerjee, and Niharika Lyra Dutta in significant roles.

Aasif began his acting journey as a junior artist in films such as ‘Ready’ (2011) and ‘Agneepath’ (2012). He later appeared in well-known Bollywood films like ‘Toilet: Ek Prem Katha’ (2017), ‘Pagglait’ (2021), and ‘Kakuda’ (2024). His most recent theatrical release was the horror-comedy ‘The Bhootni’.
