Sarees, labubus, and tennis charms: Thanks to Indian celebrities, Wimbledon 2025 had it all

Smashes and serves extended beyond the court at Wimbledon 2025. This year’s annual tennis championship featured Indian celebrities showcasing impressive fashion statements.

The much-admired Tenniscore trend made a spectacular comeback as celebrities turned the Royal Box into their own runway. Priyanka Chopra embraced the tennis whites in her Ralph Lauren gown, while divas Sonam Kapoor and Jacqueline Fernandez infused playful touches (think tennis ball charms) to elevate their off-the-court style.

Urvashi Rautela ensured that even Wimbledon 2025 was not immune to the Labubu phenomenon, bringing four of these viral dolls to the match.

Meanwhile, Neena Gupta and her designer-actor daughter Masaba showcased India’s rich fashion heritage at the games, with Neena donning a saree and Masaba accessorizing with Nandi (a sacred bull in Hinduism revered as Lord Shiva’s vehicle) charms.

While Jannik Sinner made history as the first Italian to win the Wimbledon men’s singles title, Indian celebrities also made their mark in Wimbledon fashion history with their impeccable sartorial choices.

Janhvi Kapoor

Janhvi Kapoor transformed the Wimbledon stands into a British summer garden party, arriving in an adorably chic gingham dress. Floral details? Absolutely. A delicate bow? Indeed. To top it off, she paired her Miu Miu midi dress with a striking set of ear studs.

She attended the semi-final on 11 July alongside her boyfriend Shikhar Pahariya, who exuded sartorial elegance in a crisp blue blazer ensemble.

Neena Gupta and Masaba Gupta

The fashion world’s beloved mother-daughter duo, Neena Gupta and Masaba Gupta, brought a wealth of Indian fashion to the Centre Court, earning full marks for their efforts! Veteran actress Neena Gupta opted for the timeless elegance of a saree, wearing a white saree adorned with contrasting red floral prints from Good Earth, complemented by a halter-neck blouse. In contrast, Masaba styled an old Nike dress with a white bomber jacket from her own label.

By the way, Masaba had initially intended to wear black capris paired with the bomber jacket, but they tore just before she departed from home. She also swapped her heels for a comfortable pair of sneakers suitable for the court.

Sonam Kapoor
Sonam Kapoor’s tennis-inspired Wimbledon outfit was a fashion highlight that could compete with the final match itself. From strawberries and tennis balls to a racquet brooch and the classic tennis whites, her appearance was a flawless tribute to the tournament’s customs. Sonam donned a white pinstriped Ralph Lauren suit for the men’s final in 2025. A contrasting red strawberry brooch along with a golden racquet elegantly adorned one of the lapels of her crisp suit. She also sported a pair of Manolo Blahnik tennis heels – indeed, they were embellished with tennis ball charms.

Urvashi Rautela
How many Labubus are considered too many Labubus? That’s the question raised by Urvashi Rautela’s look at Wimbledon 2025. She showcased an ivory corset dress with lace details, but it was her Herms Birkin bag decorated with four Labubus that truly captured attention.

Ankita Konwar and Milind Soman

Lovebirds Milind Soman and Ankita Konwar elevated their fashion game at the Centre Court during the Sinner vs Alcaraz match. She wore a white floral midi dress while he looked sharp in a grey suit over a tennis white T-shirt.

Priyanka Chopra Jonas
You can always count on Priyanka Chopra Jonas to make a grand entrance… err… on the court as if it’s effortless. For this year’s Wimbledon event, she opted for a tailored white halter-neck dress by Ralph Lauren. Talk about transforming the tournament into a royal runway!

Preity Zinta
Tennis, strawberries, and couture – a classic combination! Preity Zinta was fully engaged as she attended the finals with her husband, Gene Goodenough, looking like the embodiment of elegance in a tailored blue dress adorned with white polka dots.

Avneet Kaur
Social media sensation Avneet Kaur made a fashionable statement at the Centre Court not just once but twice. The diva first showcased tennis whites, wearing a top paired with a figure-hugging mini skirt.

Jacqueline Fernandez

Jacqueline showcased a masterclass in tenniscore by donning an all-white ensemble – fitted trousers paired with a stylish blazer vest. Additionally, she made a striking impression with the tennis ball and racquet charm adorning her bag. Clearly, she was on point!

All dressed to impress!
With sports icons such as Sachin Tendulkar, Neeraj Chopra, and Deepak Chahar present, it was evident that there was no shortage of suit excellence.

Tenniscore remains trendy! We trust you picked up some tips.
