India and Namibia have signed four agreements, Bloster bilateral ties amid PM Modi’s visit

Windhoek:  On Wednesday, India and Namibia formalized four agreements aimed at enhancing bilateral cooperation across various sectors, such as energy and healthcare, following discussions between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and President Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah.

Modi, who arrived in Windhoek from Brazil during the last leg of his five-nation tour, engaged in delegation-level discussions with President Nandi-Ndaitwah at the State House.

Following their discussions, the two parties signed four agreements covering diverse areas, including health and medicine, biofuels, and disaster resilience.

This marks Prime Minister Modi’s inaugural visit to Namibia and the third visit by an Indian Prime Minister to the nation.

During his visit, which was at the invitation of President Nandi-Ndaitwah, Modi referred to Namibia as a “valued and trusted partner” in Africa.

Earlier, Prime Minister Modi was greeted with a ceremonial welcome and a guard of honor at the State House, where he also received a 21-gun salute.
