PM Modi extends birthday wishes to the Dalai Lama on his 90th birthday

On Sunday, PM Narendra Modi conveyed his best wishes to the Dalai Lama, the Tibetan spiritual leader, on the occasion of his 90th birthday, recognizing him as a beacon of love and patience.

Wishing for his longevity, the Prime Minister remarked that the Dalai Lama’s teachings have fostered respect among all religions.

“I join 1.4 billion Indians in sending our heartfelt greetings to His Holiness the Dalai Lama on his 90th birthday. He has consistently represented love, compassion, patience, and moral integrity. His teachings have garnered respect and admiration from all faiths. We pray for his ongoing good health and long life,” PM Modi tweeted.

The Tibetan spiritual leader celebrates his 90th birthday today. Festivities have been ongoing for this significant milestone since June 30 at the Tsuglagkhang, the principal Tibetan temple where the Dalai Lama resides in Dharamshala, Himachal Pradesh.

The celebrations include religious prayers and cultural events. On the eve of his birthday, the Dalai Lama shared a message with the world, highlighting the necessity of showing compassion to all and contributing to the betterment of the world.
