BJP leader and businessman, Gopal Khemka, was fatally shot outside his home in Patna, Bihar, on Friday night. The shooting occurred around 11 pm as he was returning to his residence, which is located next to the Panache Hotel in the Gandhi Maidan police station vicinity. He resided in the Twin Tower society.

The perpetrator quickly fled the scene after the BJP leader succumbed to his injuries on the spot. It is worth mentioning that his son, Gunjan Khomka, was murdered in Hajipur in December 2018. He was shot four times while en route to his popper mill situated in the industrial area.

What Did The Police Say?

Last night, law enforcement arrived at the crime scene in Patna and collected a bullet and a shell.

“On the night of July 4, at approximately 11 pm, we were informed that businessman Gopal Khemka had been shot dead in the southern part of Gandhi Maidan… The crime scene has been secured, and an investigation is currently ongoing… One bullet and one shell have been recovered,”
