A mother and son were killed in Lajpat Nagar, Delhi, by their servant, police arrests accused

A 42-year-old woman and her 14-year-old son were tragically murdered by having their throats slit on Wednesday night in the Lajpat Nagar area of Delhi.

According to DCP South East, Hemant Tiwari, a PCR call was made at 9:43 p.m. on July 2, when a 44-year-old man reported that his wife and son were unresponsive to his calls. The door was locked, and there were blood stains visible at the gate and on the stairs.

Upon receiving the distress call, the PCR and investigative officer arrived at the scene where the caller, Kuldeep, indicated that there were noticeable blood stains on the staircase and that his wife and son were not responding to him.

Meanwhile, the SHO also arrived at the location, and the gate was forcibly opened. Inside, the lifeless bodies of a woman and a child were discovered.

The victims were identified as Ruchika Sewani, 42, who ran a garment shop with her husband in the Lajpat Nagar area, and their 14-year-old son, Krish, a Class 10 student.

The police have arrested the primary suspect in the case, Mukesh, a resident of Hajipur in Bihar. He was taken into custody from a train by Uttar Pradesh police at the Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyay station. Mukesh had worked as a driver and helper at the garment shop.
