“Deeply tragic and alarming”: Rahul Gandhi expresses condolences for the loss of life in the Telangana chemical factory explosion

Rahul Gandhi, the Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha, conveyed his sympathies regarding the fatalities resulting from the explosion at a chemical factory in Telangana’s Sangareddy district on Monday, and expressed his hopes for the swift recovery of those injured.

“The news of the explosion at the chemical factory in Telangana is profoundly tragic and alarming. My deepest condolences go out to those who have lost their loved ones in this event. I wish for the rapid recovery of all the injured,” Rahul Gandhi stated in a message on X.

“The state government and local administration are actively involved in relief and rescue efforts. They are working diligently to provide all possible support to those affected. During this challenging time, we stand in solidarity with the families impacted in every possible way,” he continued.

At least eight individuals lost their lives, and 26 others sustained injuries due to the explosion at a chemical factory located in the Pasamailaram Phase 1 area of Telangana’s Sangareddy district. As per a police official, the incident took place between 8:15 am and 9:35 am on Monday.
