Bengaluru Woman Discovered Dead in Garbage Truck, Murdered by Her Live-In Partner

A woman was found dead in a sack and thrown into a garbage truck in Bengaluru, and her live-in partner has been identified as her killer, according to the latest investigation. The victim, named Asha, was in a relationship with Mohammed Shamshuddin, who has been arrested for the murder.

On Sunday, the Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP), the city’s civic authority, discovered a gunny bag containing Asha’s body inside a garbage truck. Her hands were bound. After the police were informed, they opened a murder case, sent the body for an autopsy, and began their investigation.

Investigators reviewed CCTV footage and other evidence, leading them to identify the suspect as 33-year-old Mohammed Shamshuddin, originally from Assam.

Shamshuddin had been in a relationship with Asha, 40, for a year and a half, and they shared a rented home in Hulimavu, South Bengaluru. Both were married to other people and had two children each, but they presented themselves to others as if they were married.
