A Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) terrorist, who had been under surveillance for a year, was killed during a gunfight with security forces in the Udhampur district of Jammu and Kashmir on Thursday. A search operation is currently in progress to locate and eliminate the three other JeM terrorists.

The three terrorists are reportedly taking refuge in the elevated areas of Basantgarh, despite the adverse weather conditions.

The gunbattle commenced when a combined search team of the army and police initiated a search operation, based on specific intelligence, in Basantgarh this morning. Additional reinforcements have been dispatched to the scene.
